Where it runs, per Paperpal: Microsoft Word add-in, Chrome / Edge for Google Docs and Overleaf, and web (edit.paperpal.com). That distribution is the product. You do not have to move a thesis out of the lab’s Word template.

Paperpal’s integrity story is unusually explicit for this category: it does not generate full papers as a feature philosophy (their review copy: in-built guardrails, reminders to keep human oversight, “does not generate full text to avoid over-reliance”). It also states it does not train AI models on your data, and advertises ISO/IEC 42001:2023 (and ISO/IEC 27001 on some footers). Those are Paperpal wins to admit, not bury.
